Smarter APIs & Smarter Profiles

This release includes major updates to our API, a fully redesigned Convert flow with integrated aliasing, and a series of enhancements to onboarding, suggestions, and usability. These improvements were followed by a team-wide Test Day, where we explored every major workflow across the platform to validate the work, polish the experience, and identify additional areas for improvement. Thanks to that focused effort, you’ll find this release smoother, faster, and more consistent across the board.

Translate API Updates:

We’ve made significant changes to the Translate API that improve clarity and reduce unnecessary complexity. Please review these updates carefully, as they may impact existing integrations:

• Updated Response Structure: The Translate API now includes:
  • description
• Simplified Skill Fields: Skills now return only the most relevant fields:
  • id, title (AI-refined), type, and status
• AI-Enhanced Fields: Both skill titles and profile descriptions are now generated using AI for improved clarity and relevance.

⚠️ If your application depends on any previously included fields, be sure to test for compatibility with this updated structure.

Convert Flow Redesign + Built-In Skill Title Enhancement

We’ve completely refreshed the Convert feature to make profile creation smoother and more intelligent:

• Skill titles are now automatically enhanced with the power of AI during the Convert process, making them more specific while preserving ties to our core library.
• Profiles now include a clear, customized description generated during conversion.
• New progress indicators show how the system is refining your profile in real time.

Onboarding and Dashboard Enhancements:

We’ve made it easier for new users to get started and for organizations to manage their accounts:

• Landing Page Update: Added a link to our overview tutorial video and cleaned up the UI.
• Improved Org Dashboard (Empty State): Now includes sections for getting started and learning more about the platform.
• New Count Cards: See the total number of profiles, skill sets, and active feedback sessions in your org at a glance.
• Welcome Email and Modal: New users now receive a welcome email and a getting started modal after verifying their email.
• Org Info Enhancements: Organizations can now enter industry and company size for a more tailored experience.

Suggestions Page Improvements:

Managing suggestions is now faster and more intuitive:

• Suggestions now appear at the top of the page for easier access.
• Improved logic for aliasing and title change suggestions.
• Added a Save button to the bottom of the page for easier action.
• Updated in-app notifications for new skill suggestions.

Bug Fixes & Backend Improvements:

• Our Compare Tool now references core skill titles, not aliased ones, for more consistent comparisons.
• We made adjustments to how we handle tool and technology skills to improve recommendation quality.
• Behind-the-scenes changes make our library more flexible and ready for future features.
• Fixed bugs related to feedback sessions and organization invite links.
• Minor UI clean-up throughout the platform for improved polish.
